apibrėžtis Jonizuojančiosios spinduliuotės poveikis organizmui. Biologinis jonizuojančiosios spinduliuotės poveikis priklauso nuo apšvitos dozės, pobūdžio (išorinė, vidinė ar kontaktinė apšvita) ir laiko, žmogaus fizinės būklės ir kt. Didelės dozės (didesnės kaip 1,5 Sv) sukelia ūminę ↑ spindulinę ligą arba mirtį. Mažesnės dozės gali sukelti lėtinę spindulinę ligą, padidina įvairių ligų (vėžio, leukemijos, nevaisingumo, paveldimų pakitimų ir kt.) riziką.
